Plus Fashions at Saks

So, I'm not going to lie. I can't really afford to shop at Saks Fifth Avenue. I would love love love to be able to, but it's unrealistic at this time. That doesn't stop me, however, from drooling over it. I'm very impressed by their plus size selections. So here are a few of my favorites:

The main reason I'm on the hunt for faaabulous clothing is that I have to be Business Casual every day in NYC for Macy's, and I seriously need to revamp my wardrobe. I'm sure you'll get a lot more of these posts in the next few days...

Rock n' Roll Wedding via Lolliblog

So, I've been toying with the idea of making my friend Kayla's wedding dress. I had planned to spend my summer doing it, then I got the Macy's internship, and there's NO way I'm passing that up. But that hasn't kept me from looking at anything and everything bridal. And that's how I stumbled upon this.

Oh. My. Goodness. How fabulous is this wedding party? Everything is BEAUTIFUL. The bridesmaids are in Betsy Johnson frilly dresses, while the bride is in a Lian Carlo gown. She made the bottom detachable. Fabulous!

I just found out I got the Design Internship with Macy's!!!!!! So excited!!!!!

Tee Time 2010: Terra Firma

Each year, CTD puts on a fashion show in which design students are given plain t-shirts and allowed to make anything they want. This event coincides with Green Week, so 20% of each garment is also made of recycled material. This year, I created a collection entitled Terra Firma. All of the reddish shirt fabric is dyed with Alabama clay. These shirts came from Earth Creations, an awesome Alabama company. You should definitely check them out! And now onto the clothes...

St. Aug

Have I ever told you how much I love St. Augustine? I don't know that I have. But it's my favorite place in Florida. I spent last spring break there, and this one as well. I'll post my own photos later, but here are a few from other places just to show you my love.

Oh, the Academy Awards. Awards shows bring my roommates and I together, and I get to drool over the dresses. It's wonderful.
